Overview
Twin screw pump is one of the important types of fluid transfer equipment used in various process industries, it is also referred to as double screw pump, two spindle pump or double screw transfer pump.
This pump is a positive displacement pump that transfers fluid amounts through cavities of several shape. The pump materials of construction will be based upon the application.
Due to unique design of integrated manufactured shafts and screws, many different material combinations are available, thus allowing for optimum combinations for high pressure applications. We provides complete axial balancing of the rotating elements and eliminates all metal-to-metal contact within the pump.
As the pump rotates, the intermeshing of the two screws along with the pump housing form chambers. These chambers fill with the pumped fluid and move it from the suction side of the pump to the higher pressure discharge side of the pump.
The radial force produced by high pressure makes the shaft components have great bending moment, so special design will be used for applications with high differential pressures, such as increasing the diameter of the shaft, lower space for the mechanical seals.
