Twin screw pump is one of the important types of fluid transfer equipment used in various process industries, it is also referred to as double screw pump, two spindle pump or double screw transfer pump.
This pump is a positive displacement pump that transfers fluid amounts through cavities of several shape. The pump materials of construction will be based upon the application.
Universal twin screw pump applies single support shaft cantilever structure, driving and driven shaft are assembled in the gearbox, screws are fixed on the open side of the shaft. The liquid enters the pump through the inlet, and then enters the sealing cavity, with the rotary movement of the screw, the liquid is stably transported to the outlet. Its low pulsation characteristics and excellent solids handling capability reduce the risk of product damage, thereby improving product quality. Maintenance is simplified and process uptime increased. It is capable of handling both product transfer and Cleaning-in-Place (CIP).
