Single screw pump is one of the important types of fluid transfer equipment used in various process industries, it is also referred to as eccentric screw pump, cavity pump or progressive cavity pump.
This pump is a positive displacement pump that transfers fluid amounts through cavities of several shape. The pump materials of construction will be based upon the application.
Bearing housing type single screw pumps are constructed with cast iron bearing housing. The driving shaft of pump is installed in the mentioned pedestal, it has enough strength to bear the torque and axial force produced by the rotor during the working process. The rotating parts are available in numerous materials like Alloy Steel, Tool Steel, Stainless Steel 304, 316, duplex etc. Its structure has strong load ability, good rigidity. It is usually used in high pressure working conditions.
