Overview
Single screw pump is one of the important types of fluid transfer equipment used in various process industries. It is also referred to as eccentric screw pump, cavity pump or progressive cavity pump.
This pump is a positive displacement pump that transfers fluid amounts through cavities of several shape. The pump materials of construction will be based upon the application.
Compact single screw pump is installed under the driving motor, the pump must be bearing housing type structure. The driving shaft of pump is parallel to the motor shaft and connected by a toothed belt, so the speed of pump is reduced by the toothed belt, total length of pump is also shorted. The driving shaft of pump must have enough strength to bear the torque and axial force produced by the rotor during the working process, and must have more rigidity to bearing the bending moment by the toothed belt during the rotating process of the driving motor. The rotating parts are available in numerous materials like Alloy Steel, Tool Steel, Stainless Steel 304, 316, duplex etc. Its structure has strong load ability, good rigidity. It is usually used when the length direction of the customer's application site is limited.
